Antique Victorian Vulcanite Minimalist Carved Locket

From the outside: a beautiful, minimalistic Victorian mourning locket. From the inside: a carved maximalist wonderland replete with flora and fauna and symbols. This is a rare find from the Victorian era in excellent condition considering its age. It's a locket made to stand out, whether you wear it on its own or in a stack. The hand carved details are so intoxicating.

MATERIALS: Carved vulcanite.

ERA: Victorian (1837-1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Roughly 1.75 inch tall with bail.

CONDITION: In excellent secondhand condition, with some normal wear and tear that comes with age. Some light scratching on front and back of locket. Inside is a bit dusty, left uncleaned to preserve the delicate carvings. Buyer can clean if desired. Comes with original glass insert which easily pops in and out, and can be used to hold a photo or illustration inside.
